The G16 is one of our favorite gaming laptops of 2024, just make sure you buy the right configuration as there are big differences. Overall it is a very premium and extremely portable laptop that delivers alot of performance.

After numerous bios updates, Asus has improved the fan noise of this laptop. This goes a long way to solving it's major downside, which was that in light use you heard fan noise. This is now solved and it is now quiet for such use, and in heavy use you hear fan noise, but its comporable to other high powered laptops. This being said, it still gets warm to the touch in gaming. 

If you want the quietest and coolest version of this laptop you must buy the AMD model, linked below. It significantly improves on the Intel model in this department. In fact we strongly advise buying that model over the Intel model if you only need up to an RTX 4070. If you need an RTX 4080 or 4090, you'll either have to buy the Intel model, or an alternative laptop linked below. As the AMD model does not come with those graphics options.
